Inspired by the "See America - Welcome to Montana" poster created by Richard Halls for the U.S. Travel Bureau as part of the Work Progress Administration's Federal Art Project, which employed more than 5,000 artists during the Great Depression. During its operation between 1935-1943, the WPA Poster Division is estimated to have produced more than 35,000 designs, but only about 2,000 have survived to this day.
